The half-timbered house in the city centre of Sachsenhausen became by a fundamental reorganization again a beautiful, cosy and value-stable dwelling.

First the old plaster had to be removed.

Then the timber truss beams were blasted and cleaned.

The old building materials were removed from the timber framed walls,

in order to be able to fill them with NF1200 lightweight clay blocks and then plaster with a lime-based 2-ply plaster.

Finally the plastered timber framed walls were primed and painted with lime paint.

All timber truss beam were given a covering, linseed oil-based coat of paint.
