One should think about an insulation of the house inside wall, if the
half-timbered or stucco facade stands under monument protection (or from
the outside should remain) and the today's energy saving requirements
must be fulfilled. We have been using special wood fibre boards for
years. Their structure is similar to a sandwich and thus ensures
dimensional stability and very good construction physical properties.
Thus it is possible that the wooden fibre boards adapt to unevenness or
crooked walls, therefore a pre-treatment of the walls is not necessary.
Due to their large condensate storage capacity, they enable internal
insulation without the use of a vapour barrier and they can be
processed without gaps thanks to tongue and groove. The wood fibre
boards also serve as plaster supports, for example for loam plasters.
